Kyoto City Kyocera Museum of Art

Artists

Yukimasa Ida
Yukimasa Ida has been working mainly on paintings under the theme of "Once in a Lifetime". The existence of various things, things, and people exist while changing time. Without these relationships, this world would not exist.

This traveling exhibition will present his past paintings and sculptures, including some that have never been exhibited in Japan, as well as his "End of today" series, in which he writes daily like a picture diary, and his latest works.

The works in the exhibition are the trajectory of Ida's life. You will be able to feel at the same time "what continues to change" and "what does not change" as his works expand from dots to lines and from lines to surfaces, and flow from the past to the future.
