Painter and contemporary artist Yukimasa Ida has been familiar with painting since he was a child in his father's studio, who is a sculptor. With the theme of "Once in a lifetime," Ida has developed a variety of works, mainly paintings, but also sculptures and prints.

Based in Japan, Ida has also expanded his activities overseas, attracting the attention of collectors in many countries. His artistic and cultural activities have been widely recognized as having contributed to the promotion of culture, and in 2022 he was awarded the Tottori Prefecture Cultural Encouragement Prize.

This exhibition will be Ida's first solo exhibition at a museum in Japan. In addition to his past paintings and sculptures, including some that have never been exhibited in Japan, the exhibition will also include his "End of Today" series, in which he writes about his daily life like a picture diary, and his latest works.
