Since 2009, the Yebisu Film Festival is an annual international festival of film and art that combines exhibitions, screenings, live performances, and talk sessions in Ebisu, Tokyo. The aim of the festival has been to invigorate creative activities in the field of film and video and to provide a forum for sharing widely the issues of how to nurture and carry on the development of film expression and media.

In order to continue to deepen the question of "what is the moving image" in the midst of such changes in social conditions, the 15th Yebisu Film Festival 2023 will further strengthen the role of the festival by launching several new initiatives, including the "Commission Project."

Yebisu Film Festival 2023 will present a wide variety of works under the theme of “Technology?" and will examine a wide variety of video expression practices and consider the possibilities of dialogue between art and technology.

*The Commission Project (3F) will be open until 3/26 (Sun.).
