The Strandbeest is a life form that walks on the beach, catching the wind. The Strandbeest, which means "life form on the beach" in Dutch, was first created by Dutch sculptor Theo Jansen in 1990. Made from plastic tubes and PET bottles, it not only walks, but also can change direction and sense danger, and is still evolving to adapt to various environments.

This exhibition, Janssen's first solo show in Shikoku, not only traces the evolution of his work, but also explores the fascination with the world he creates through video footage, wooden forms/parts, sketches in the artist's handwriting, and tools used in his production.
