The Ocean -The Origin of Life

National Museum of Nature and Science
Finished
The ocean is the symbol of the water planet Earth and the source of all life on the planet. The oceans carry a variety of materials and energy and have nurtured the ecosystems that exist there. Humans have also thrived by overcoming the harshness of the ocean, while at the same time enjoying its bounty. Today, the impact of human activities on the environment is manifesting itself in various changes in the oceans as well.

The special exhibition "Deep Sea" held at the National Museum of Nature and Science in 2013 and 2017 introduced the challenges of people exploring the deep sea, an extreme environment, and the various deep-sea creatures and deep-sea research that live there. In the summer of 2023, this special exhibition will showcase the ocean, from its birth to the present, introducing diverse organisms and the relationship between humans and the ocean, and also considering the future of our relationship with the ocean. By learning about the organisms that were born in the sea, evolved in the sea, and have lived with the blessings of the sea, hints on how to interact with the sea in the future may be discovered.
