“Der Realist in der Strafkolonie” is a solo exhibition by artist He Ziyu, centered around an installation inspired by Franz Kafka’s novella “In the Penal Colony.” Using industrial materials and mechanical forms, the exhibition constructs a space that reflects the contradictions of systems, rationality, and displaced realism. Visitors are invited to enter and navigate a structure where logic appears complete but meaning remains suspended.
