The Ocean - The Origin of Life

Nagoya City Science Museum
Finished
The ocean is a symbol of the water planet Earth and the source of all life on Earth. It drives the circulation of matter and energy in the Earth's surface layers and has nurtured ecosystems that thrive within it. Furthermore, humanity has prospered by both enjoying the blessings of the ocean and overcoming its challenges. In modern times, however, the impacts of human activities on the environment are manifesting as various changes in the ocean.

This special exhibition sheds light on the birth of the ocean, its present state, and its future, along with the introduction of diverse marine life. By understanding the creatures that have been born, evolved, and lived alongside the blessings of the ocean, clues about how we should interact with the ocean in the future may be found.
