The Ancient Egyptian Museum Exhibition

Fukuoka Asian Art Museum
Finished
This exhibition introduces the collection of the Ancient Egyptian Museum, Japan's only museum dedicated to ancient Egypt. The collection, which is one of the best in Japan in terms of quantity and quality, covers the period from the Pre-Roman to Roman rule and provides a complete picture of ancient Egyptian culture. The exhibition features approximately 200 items, including mummies, mummy masks, wooden coffins, temple pillars, Tutankhamun's ring, and other artifacts of value, as well as jewelry and reliefs that illustrate the lifestyle of the time. The exhibition also introduces the latest research (2022) on the Meidum pyramid, which has been largely unexplored for the past 100 years.
