The Ancient Egyptian Museum Exhibition

Iwaki City Art Museum
Finished
The collection of the Egyptian Museum of Ancient Art Shibuya, which covers each period from the Pre-Roman to Roman rule, is based on the former collections of prominent collectors such as Kojiro Ishiguro, a well-known collector of Middle Eastern antiquities, and boasts first-class contents in Japan in terms of quantity.

This exhibition, the first time the museum's collection has been exhibited outside the museum on a large scale, will feature approximately 200 items, including mummies, mummy masks, wooden coffins, temple pillars, Tutankhamun's ring, and other artifacts of international value, as well as containers and jewelry that illustrate the lifestyle of the time. In addition, the latest research on the Maidum pyramid (2022), which has been the subject of little academic investigation for the past 100 years, will also be introduced, providing an opportunity to come into contact with a wide range of ancient mega civilizations.
