Darumasan, a series of picture books that has sold over 9 million copies, is a beloved series among children. As an author, Hiroshi Kagakui (1955-2009) produced many picture books after reaching the age of 50. And there is a continuing interest in them among children. This exhibition is the first major retrospective of Kagakui's work since Kagakui's death. Aside from original picture book drawings and production materials, the exhibition will also include valuable visual records and materials that recall Kagakui's personality.
