The "Daruma-san" picture book series, authored by Hiroshi Kagakui, became a huge success with over 9 million copies sold in just 15 years. Hiroshi Kagakui, who started writing picture books at age 50, produced 16 works in a short time before passing away at 54. Not widely known is Kagakui's background as a special education teacher, and how Kagakui's books were inspired by these experiences in special needs education. This exhibition explores Kagakui's life, displaying the artist's original works, idea notes, and teaching records.
