Darumasan, a series of picture books that has sold over 9 million copies, is a beloved series among children. As an author, Hiroshi Kagakui (1955-2009) produced many picture books after reaching the age of 50. And there is a continuing interest in them among children. This exhibition is the first major retrospective of Kagakui's work since Kagakui's death and the first in the Kanto region. It will showcase original picture book drawings, production materials, and valuable visual records.
