Artists

Akihito Yoshida
Akihito Yoshida participated in the Photobook as Object workshop led by photographers Jan Rosseel and Yumi Goto in 2016, where Yoshida worked on the artist's previous work "The Absence of Two" ("Falling Leaves" at the time of publication). It depicts the daily lives of the artist's grandmother (88) and cousin Daiki (23), as well as how they are ended by Daiki's suicide.

Continuing the previous work, "The Dialogue of Two" consists of a series of photographs taken over the two and a half years following Daiki's death, and ending with the passing of the artist's grandmother. The series photographs illustrate how those who have lost a loved one cope with and interact with the dead, based on a story told by Yoshida's grandmother.
