Shinsui Ito
Ito Shinsui, is a Tokyo-born artist, studied under Kaburaki Kiyokata, and mainly exhibited his work at government exhibitions and at the Nitten exhibition after the war. While valuing the tradition of ukiyo-e, Shinsui focused on modern culture and customs and created his own unique artistic realm by pursuing feminine beauty with a nuance of lively sensuality.
