Artists

Eizaburo Hara
Pop artist Andy Warhol traveled around the world in 1956, marking a defining point in the artist's life. The highlight of the trip was a two-week stay in Japan, where Warhol spent time in Kyoto. During Warhol's second visit to Kyoto in 1974, Eizaburo Hara documented Warhol's visits to landmarks such as Katsura Rikyu, Sanjusangendo, and Gion. Approximately 100 works tracing Warhol's travels will be exhibited in this exhibition.
