Iwaki City Art Museum

Iwaki City Art Museum opened in 1984 and is located within a twelve-minute walk to JR Iwaki Station. The museum's collection consists of both Japanese and foreign artists, as well as artists connected to Iwaki City. We display works from the collection in our permanent exhibition which includes changeovers. In the special exhibitions, usually held from April to December, we introduce both Eastern and Western art from ancient to modern times. Exhibitions of the works made by residents are held from January to March.
Various gallery talks, lectures, workshops, concerts, performances, and other activities are held at the museum which aims to become the center of cultural activity in the area.
