Toyoshiro Fukuda
Fukuda Toyoshiro (1904-1970) was a Nihonga (Japanese style painting) artist who was active during the period from the last part of Taisho era to the Showa era. While he paints simple scenery of his hometown with rich poetic taste, Toyoshiro has a side as a well-known modernist who innovated new style of Nihonga artist scene. The exhibition will unravel the artist’s legacies from his early to late period.
