Momoko Sakura
Momoko Sakura (1965-2018), a native of Shimizu-ku, Shizuoka City (formerly Shimizu City), is known as the creator of the nationally popular manga "Chibi Maruko-chan" and has had a diverse career not only as a manga artist but also as an essayist, songwriter, and screenwriter.

This exhibition features original drawings of "Chibi Maruko-chan,” "Coji-Coji," her 1984 debut as a manga artist, "Teaching You to Be Thankful!," and the handwritten manuscript of the best-selling essay "Momo no Kanzume," as well as approximately 300 items, including related original drawings and beloved items, which will be on display for the first time.

The exhibition will present all the charms of Momoko Sakura, who thoroughly enjoyed drawing and writing and loved the changing of the seasons and small daily life.
