Fukuoka Asian Art Museum
Finished
Realistic painting is an expressive method that depicts subjects with striking realism. The Hoki Museum, located in Chiba City, is one of the rare museums in the world dedicated exclusively to realistic painting. Its collection comprises approximately 500 works by some of Japan's most prominent contemporary artists. This exhibition showcases 64 carefully selected popular works from the Hoki Museum's collection.

The paintings, meticulously crafted by the artists over time, not only convey their intended emotions but also exude a presence distinct from photographs or videos. Through the diverse works created by these uniquely talented artists, visitors can fully experience the essence of realistic painting.
