Artists

Junko Koshino
Junko Koshino, born in Osaka, won the Soen Prize, considered the gateway for new designers, at the youngest age in 1960. She then began her career as a fashion designer based in Tokyo. Participating in the Paris Collection in 1978 and hosting shows around the world, she gained high acclaim and expanded her activities to include stage costumes for operas and other productions.

Furthermore, in recent years, she has ambitiously expanded the scope of her creativity beyond fashion design to include interior design, food, fireworks design, and outdoor entertainment production.

This exhibition is the largest ever, showcasing the full range of Junko Koshino's diverse and adventurous activities from her high school days, including paintings she created during that time and her award-winning works from the Soen Prize, to the present. Through approximately 200 pieces, including costumes, design drawings, photo panels, and video presentations, it offers insight into the trajectory and charm of Junko Koshino's creativity.
