Toeko Tatsuno "Expressing the Perceptions of the Body"

BB Plaza Museum of Art
Finished

Artists

Toeko Tatsuno
Toeko Tatsuno (1950-2014) believed in the power of paintings and pursued abstract expressions in the two-dimensional media. In this exhibition we will put the focus on her prints.
Tatsuno's started making prints while a student in the Tokyo University of Arts at the beginning of 1970s. Since then she started using bold expressions not only in her oil paintings but in silkscreen prints, lithographs, woodblock prints and engravings.
We hope you enjoy the expressions in these works, where Tatsuno searches the forms of the space as an extension of the conflict between the reason and the senses.
