This exhibition will present the topic of modernity in the Early Showa era through the superb works from the collections of Togyo Kyokai and Okawa Museum of Art.
In this exhibition we will trace the Showa era - a time of upheaval of war and peace - and the modernity of that time that sought for fresh images. The core of the exhibition will be Shunsuke Matsumoto's work, "Cityscape", along with which various other paintings of Japanese modern artists.
