Designed to uncover the next generation of leading nihonga artists the Kaii Higashiyama Commemorative Nikkei Nihonga Grand Prize Exhibition was first established in 2002 and this year selects Sohei Iwata as its winner, along with a specially commended award going to Reina Taniho.
