Bunka Gakuen Costume Museum

We are one of the few museums in Japan that specializes in clothing. The museum's main collections include kosode (short sleeves), Noh costumes, and modern court dress in Japan, and dresses and accessories from the 18th to 20th centuries in Europe, as well as work by haute couture designers. The museum also has a collection of ethnic costumes and textiles from all over the world, including Asia, Africa, and Central and South America. The museum holds themed exhibitions four times a year to introduce a wide variety of clothing-related documents from Japan and other parts of the world. Through clothing, visitors can deepen their understanding of Japanese and other world cultures.
