With a childhood spent in the U.S. and studies in fashion in Tokyo, Ishikawa explores the connection between clothing and the memories associated with their scents. By encasing these fragrances in wax, striking three-dimensional artworks emerge. This exhibition examines Japanese beliefs about spirits as messengers that appear at specific times and places, symbolizing the "boundaries" where past and present converge. The collection showcases a captivating blend of fabric sculptures and wax pieces, bringing these moments to life.
