Artists

Yukino Miyata
Yukino Miyata, born in 1986 in Mie Prefecture, creates vivid and agile artworks that are actually prints, using the intaglio method on PVC boards. Despite the delicate nature of PVC under printing pressure, this technique offers excellent ink coloration and unique gradation. Miyata's choice of the time-consuming printmaking process reflects a self-awareness and response to the rapid pace of modern society. Overwhelmed by daily life and unable to keep up, Miyata describes feeling only able to nod or pray. Miyata's work explores unchosen paths and differences with others, aiming to answer various questions through art. The solo exhibition, "Subdivision Questions," invites viewers to reflect on forgotten pasts and unchosen destinations.
