Yoshikatsu Fujii
Since relocating to his hometown of Hiroshima in 2015, Yoshikatsu Fujii has been working on a long-term project titled the "Hiroshima Graph" series, focusing on the history of war in Hiroshima. The works on display this time are the third installment of the series, serving as a prologue to the main story. Based on the testimony of Fujii's grandfather, who was involved in the manufacturing of human torpedoes at a naval facility in Kure City, Hiroshima Prefecture during World War II, the exhibition quietly reflects on the memories of childhood spent with his grandfather and speaks softly about gratitude for the peace we have today and its importance.

This exhibition, while reproducing the world of the previously announced photo book "Calm," will also experiment with different ways of conveying it in gallery spaces, presenting a more multifaceted perspective. Additionally, this exhibition is part of the KG+ Pick Up exhibition program, a satellite event of Kyotographie.
