Saeborg, Michiko Tsuda
Since 2018, the Tokyo Metropolitan Government and Tokyo Arts and Space (TOKAS) have been conducting the "Tokyo Contemporary Art Award (TCAA)," a contemporary art prize for mid-career artists. Each award cycle recognizes two artists, and in the final year of multi-year support, an award commemorative exhibition is held at the Tokyo Metropolitan Art Museum.

The exhibition by the 4th TCAA recipients, Saeborg and Michiko Tsuda, is titled "I Was Made for Loving You" and "Life is Delaying," respectively. Although the two exhibitions have significantly different focuses and approaches to their artistic endeavors, they share a commonality in that the behavior of the audience within the exhibition space becomes part of the artwork. Through the act of observation, viewers may engage with themselves, directing their attention towards relationships with others, including animals, and reflecting on societal expectations and roles imposed upon them.
