Ryoji Arai
Ryoji Arai (1956– ) is an artist who has received worldwide recognition, such as being the first Japanese person to win the Astrid Lindgren Memorial Award in 2005. His diverse activities extend beyond picture books, including painting, music, and stage art.

This exhibition introduces his creative activities through paintings, original drawings from picture books, illustrations, new three-dimensional installations, and cherished items. Just like when embarking on a journey, Arai has expanded the scope of his activities with a mindset that turns uncertainties and fears into excitement.
