The Miyagi Museum of Art opened in 1981 in Sendai City, Miyagi Prefecture. Since then, through continuous acquisition efforts, the museum's collection has grown to include over 7,000 works. This exhibition showcases 74 representative pieces from the museum's collection, focusing on modern paintings from the Meiji to the Showa eras.

(The Miyagi Museum of Art is scheduled to reopen in the fall of 2025 after renovations.)
