Starts 2/8

Artists

Salvador Dalí
This exhibition, which commemorates the 120th anniversary of the birth of Salvador Dali (1904-89) and the 100th anniversary of the first Surrealist Manifesto, presents the life of Dali, primarily through works from the Morohashi Museum of Modern Art, which has one of the finest Dali collections in the world, as well as his activities after moving to the United States.
The exhibition explores the complex and subtle inner world of Dali the Surrealist, the Dali who has enthralled us with his art, and Dali the Man behind that work. Salvador Dali is loved throughout the world, but what sort of artist was he? Through 120 works of art—Dali’s oil paintings, sketches, prints, and sculptures, plus a group of works by Miro, Magritte, and other Surrealists—we reveal his true nature.
