Matsuri-to

Canon Gallery Osaka
Finished
This exhibition is a curated project by Canon MJ under the initiative "Matsuri-to," which aims to preserve traditional festivals from various regions across Japan.

To commemorate the 50th anniversary of the establishment of Canon Gallery in February 2023, this exhibition serves as the sixth installment in the "Canon Gallery 50th Anniversary Project." It will be sequentially held at three locations: Canon Gallery S (Shinagawa), Canon Gallery Ginza in Tokyo, and Canon Gallery Osaka.

With different themes for each venue, Shinagawa will focus on "Gods Inhabiting the Universe," Ginza will explore "People Praying, Dancing, and Celebrating," and Osaka will delve into "Mysterious Festivals in a Small Village."
