Starting August 1, 2024, Hitachinokuni Izumotaisha will present the "Junichi Mori Exhibition." Junichi Mori, a Nagasaki-born sculptor and professor at Tokyo University of the Arts, is renowned for works inspired by Leonardo da Vinci and the atomic bombing of Nagasaki. The exhibition will showcase Mori's large wooden sculpture "Trinity," first displayed in 2011. The term "Trinitite," an artificial mineral created by the 1945 nuclear test, is a central theme in Mori's work. The exhibition will be open for viewing for approximately one year.
