A collaborative live performance featuring 4 groups, including Marihiko Hara and Akiko Nakayama, utilizing a 26.4m x 2.7m LED screen and over 30 speakers. The expansive space, once a printing factory, carries an industrial atmosphere filled with experimental acoustics.
This collaboration event with Ambient Kyoto showcases the "Async - Immersion 2023" exhibition by Ryuichi Sakamoto and Shiro Takatani in the basement of the Kyoto Shimbun Headquarters Building. The event includes collaborative live performances by four groups, leveraging the LED screen exceeding 26.4m x 2.7m and more than 30 speakers installed for the "async - immersion 2023" exhibition.
For this event, Hara and Nakayama collaborate for the first time. An audio-visual duo performance by Ken Furudate, YPY aka Koshiro Hino, a composer for Goat, will take place. Saeko Ehara, known for presenting AI and generative art in the club/rave scene with E.O.U., will provide visuals. Lastly, Kazumichi Komatsu, active in the intersection of contemporary art and music, collaborates with the emerging visual artist Jvnpey.
