"ICC Annual" is a renewal of the "Open Space" exhibition, which was held from FY 2006 to FY 2021 as a long-term exhibition starting in FY 2022, while inheriting its role and concept.

Virtual worlds, such as metaverse and mirror worlds, as an extended version of the real world, have begun to take on a new reality that is continuous with the real world, where the difference between the real (reality) and the virtual (virtual) is no longer a dichotomy but rather the difference between physical (physical space) and data (information space). The new reality is not a dichotomy between real and virtual, but rather the difference between physical and data.

Giving form to the invisible things that surround us has been a major theme in the field of art. Just as the results obtained change depending on the method of visualization and analysis of data, the possibilities for various forms of expression are expanding depending on the method used to give form to various invisible phenomena.

This year's ICC Annual will examine how the virtual world, as an augmented reality, is permeating our living environment, how the forms of things and events are changing, and how memories and behaviors can be expressed through works on a variety of different themes.
