The Nordic country of forests and lakes, Finland is also known as a design powerhouse. Its simple, functional, organic, and warmly designed furniture and household items are loved by many people. The world is now aware of the importance of sustainable design, but long before that, Finnish designers had been creating products that would not go out of style, even as time went by, with the harmony between nature and man as the source of their creativity.

This exhibition introduces approximately 750 pieces of furniture, ceramics, glass, and textiles by Finnish designers from the 1930s to the present, including Alvar Aalto, Kai Frank, Oiva Tuikka, and Fujio Ishimoto. The exhibition also focuses on the diversity of Finnish design in Japan, traditional handicrafts, and sauna culture.
