To celebrate the 100th anniversary of Kawasaki City's municipal status and the 25th anniversary of the facility, the exhibition features contemporary artists Yusuke Asai and Miran Fukuda. Two artists will display their own works related to Taro Okamoto in the exhibition room. Asai will produce a new piece using soil from Kawasaki, and Fukuda will showcase new works along with an installation of Okamoto's pieces. In the permanent exhibition room, the two artists will introduce Okamoto's works from the museum's collection.

ちょっと帰りに30分観ようと思ったにしては遠かった！ 「岡本太郎に挑む 淺井裕介・福田美蘭」 淺井さん鹿の血と肝から造ったプルシアンブルーがすごかった。小さな手捻りの焼き物は太郎作品と混ざると違和感なく。 美蘭は岡本太郎作品の不真面目な解釈で攻めていた。父（福田繁雄）のデザインした迷子バッジをつけて70ねんの大阪万博に行ったという話から始まる。
