Kimiyo Mishima
This exhibition of contemporary artist Kimiyo Mishima will be held in conjunction with online entry sales of multiple works.
From the late 1950s to around 1970, Mishima produced oil paintings and silkscreen works using collages of newspapers, magazines, cardboard boxes, and other familiar items.
Mishima's work is made from materials found in her everyday life and in her travels abroad, and at a glance, these trash-like pieces have a mysterious presence through the medium of ceramics and pose questions in today's age of mass consumption of information.
This exhibition will feature Mishima's representative work such as Box, a work made of boxes along with other work.
