Jiro Taniguchi
This is a large-scale solo exhibition introducing the world of Jiro Taniguchi (1947-2017), a manga artist with a large readership not only in Japan but also overseas, with approximately 200 works including valuable original drawings. Taniguchi’s works, drawn and composed with precision, are known for their ability to draw readers into his unique world, time and space, and leave a deep impression on the reader. Overseas, Taniguchi’s works are highly acclaimed as art that is suitable for adult readers, and he has been commissioned by the Louvre Museum in France to create original works.
