exonemo
Exonemo is a New York-based art unit formed by Kensuke Senbo and Yae Akaiwa in 1996. Their internet-focused installations and performances carried out with uniqued approaches have made them leaders in Japanese internet art for the past two decades. In their first exhibition in Japan in six years, Waitingroom presents both new and previous works by exonemo on the theme of “Incomplete Message.” In addition to the two-monitor installation “I randomly love you/hate you” from Hello World: For the Post-Human Age at Art Tower Mito, new works created for the exhibition’s theme and a remix of other previous pieces are featured.
