This art project and exhibition by Jun Kitazawa focuses on various “foreign nationals” who live right next to Japanese people as true neighbors in the same Yokohama. Often there are not many chances to know about a neighbor’s country, culture, and customs. “Neighbor’s Land” at YCC draws from diverse backgrounds and cultures, letting visitors meet with foreign nationals and encounter their culture, sense of values, traditional customs, and daily life through research by the artist and meetings and discussions with foreign nationals living in Yokohama.
