Chihiro Kabata
Chihiro Kabata was born in 1978 and graduated from Musashino Art University. She is known for her oil paintings and drawings with ballpoint pens. At first sight, the paintings may seem simply filled with paint but a closer look reveals the intricacy of millions of almost violent lines. Contrasting this tumultuousness however, is the delicate touch which the artist employs to depict objects. This exhibition will present a variety of new works including ballpoint pen paintings as well as sculptures and oil paintings.
