Takaoka Art Museum

The Takaoka Art Museum opened in September 1994 with the aim of creating an open museum that combines traditions and creativity. The museum holds special exhibitions focusing on arts, crafts, and metal works.
Takaoka City has produced many artists and works of art in the fields of fine arts and crafts. Based on this, the Takaoka Art Museum collects and preserves works from all fields of arts and crafts, including metalwork, lacquerware, painting, and sculpture, by artists who are closely associated with the local area or who have greatly influenced the local arts and crafts.

2 minute walk from the Etchu-Nakagawa Station on the JR Himi line; From the Kojyo exit of Takaoka Station on the JR Johana and Himi lines or Ainokaze Toyama Railway, take the #10 bus and get off at Nakagawa. The venue is 2 minute walk from there; From JR Takaoka Station, take the Streetcar towards Koshinokata and get off at Hirokoji. The venue is 10 minute walk from there.
