Tomihiro Nagahara
Tomihiro Nagahara creates oil paintings inspired by the landscapes of Kishiwada, Osaka, where a lifelong connection exists. Through photography, townscapes are captured at various times of day and then transformed into oil paintings. In this process, distinct features of the area often fade, resulting in depictions of empty streets, shadowy buildings, and tree-lined roads. Rendered in a nostalgic blue monochrome, these works evoke a deep sense of longing.
