Hiroshige Utagawa's series "The Fifty-three Stations of the Tokaido," which captures landscapes from Nihonbashi to Kyoto, stands as a hallmark of ukiyo-e art. Notably, the 1833 Hoeido edition marked the first portrayal of the Tokaido and established a reputation as a leading artist in the genre. This exhibition will feature three works from the Tokaido series, including the Hoeido edition, showcasing the entire collection from Nihonbashi to Kyoto. The artworks are sourced from the Shizuoka City Tokaido Hiroshige Art Museum.
