Snuff Tobacco Containers

Tobacco & Salt Museum
Finished
Snuff tobacco, powdered and inhaled through the nose, originated in ancient America and spread to Europe and China. This exhibition highlights ornate snuff boxes popular in French court society and exquisite Chinese snuff bottles with painted interiors and precious stone carvings.
