Artists

Mitsuaki Iwago
Located in the central region of South America, the Pantanal is one of the world's largest tropical wetlands.

Most of the Pantanal extends across Brazil, with parts also in Bolivia and Paraguay. Its scale is comparable to the size of Japan's Honshu, and the majority of the Brazilian side is listed as a World Heritage Site under the designation "Pantanal Conservation Area." This unique and vast wetland, which undergoes dramatic changes between the wet and dry seasons, is one of the world's foremost reservoirs of life, teeming with a diverse range of wildlife.

The globally renowned wildlife photographer Mitsuaki Iwago delves into the ecology of various creatures, including jaguars, capybaras, and Paraguayan caimans. Through approximately 100 powerful images, including some large-scale works exceeding 2 meters, Iwago conveys the radiant vitality of life woven by the clear waters.
