Bornholm is one of the Danish islands in the Baltic Sea, and the first island in the world to be awarded the title of “World Craft Region Bornholm” in 2017, which is the highest evaluation in the field, by a UNESCO-certified NPO organization, the World Craft Council.

Nine artists from Bornholm are curated literature beyond generation and gender. They simply share their passion for contemporary crafts on equal footing. This is a group of artists who develop crafts into contemporary crafts by taking time to study and understand materials with their unique approaches. As a special collaboration project with Hotel K5, Kaori Juzu, a finalist of The Loewe Foundation Craft Prize 2023, will create an original pin brooch inspired by the venue.

The Daiichi Bank Annex, which was established by Eiichi Shibusawa as the first bank in Japan, has been reborn as a new space called Hotel K5, with the interior and exterior design supervision by Claesson Koivisto Rune, a design unit from Sweden, a neighboring country of Denmark.
