Kazumasa Harada "My Origin Photographs"

Artists

Kazumasa Harada
Kazumasa Harada started his career as a photographer while studying at an art university, and has consistently attempted to pursue narrative in his work. By treating all subjects—whether landscapes, people, or still lifes—as equal and eliminating sentimentality, he aims to manifest the language and time inherent in them. This approach became a deeper theme of contemplation for Harada following his stay in Berlin in the fall of 2023.

This exhibition features 25 works, including unpublished pieces, from his new book My Origin Photographs, which compiles photographs taken in Germany and Japan.

With Harada's fundamental question, 'What makes a photograph a photograph?' at its core, you are invited to witness fragments of the world captured with sincerity and manifested differently from before.
