Tanabe City Museum of Art
Finished

Artists

Katsushiro Hara
Painter Katsushiro Hara (1886-1964) had a vibrant and comforting style, focusing on the landscapes of Tanabe and Shirahama, Japan. Hara also featured Hara's family and still-life compositions with roses. Hara's art reflects the influence of local culture and the people of southern Wakayama. This exhibition, a large retrospective after half a century, explores Hara's life and artistic development, with two museums showcasing the artist's major works and providing insights into the local art scene of Hara's era.
